Adopt a Rescue Kitten in Cape Town

Give a Rescue Kitten a Loving Home

At Kitten Clinic, we specialise in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming neonatal kittens and those with special needs. Every kitten in our care is hand-raised with love, given personalised medical attention, and socialised in a home environment so they’re ready to thrive in yours.

When you adopt from us, you’re not just getting a kitten – you’re giving a second chance to a little life that needed it most.

Kittens available for adoption

Rocket

Surrendered at FCP from Kuils River when their mom came in for sterilisation, these little ones arrived at 5 weeks old—but tiny, malnourished, and fighting to survive, with limb deformities. They may have started off fragile, but they’ve proven just how strong they are. Now thriving, full of spirit, and ready for homes that will celebrate just how special they are.

Hydra

Hydra was surrendered to us after her litter became dangerously ill and required specialised medical care.

Hydra is a total sweetheart who purrs the millisecond you touch her. She can be a little shy in new spaces, but a quick cuddle is all it takes to make her feel brave again.

Zale

Zale was rescued along with his mom and littermates from threats of being drowned by residents in Atlantis.

Zale is an absolute honey – he has so much love to give! He adores cuddles and really is just an all around friendly boy.

Cleo

Meet Cleo, the stunning 2-year-old Calico mama of the Atlantis litter. Her life started at a factory in Atlantis (Western Cape) where she and her babies were narrowly saved from being drowned. Despite such a terrifying start, she is the most affectionate soul you’ll ever meet.

After the toll of raising four kittens while struggling as a stray, Cleo is finally ready to put herself first. She is a total “Velcro cat” who will live on your lap or chest if you let her! She is very food-motivated and will bribe you for extra treats. She truly deserves a home where she can be doted on forever. Cleo would do best in a home where she is the only pet as she prefers to be the centre of attention

Piltree

Found hiding inside of a tree at 5 weeks of age – terrified as can be. Eventually, she was lured out with Pilchards!

Piltree is as soft as silk and a very gentle soul. She loves to be around her humans, and absolutely adores other cats. She prefers to be cuddled on her terms, but will sneak up and sleep next to you at night!

Nixie

Nixie is a real cat’s cat – she adores all other felines and is her happiest when she is playing with her friends!

Whilst not a lap cat, Nixie does pride herself in being as close to her humans as possible, without actually cuddling – she doesnt want us to realise she’s actually obsessed with us. But we see her sneaking into our bed at night for snuggles.

Nixie is a confident girl, avid playfighter and hard napper. She’ll bring light to any home!

Chimera

Meet Chimera, the mirror image of her sister Hydra.

She is just as sensitive as her sister, finding all her confidence in human touch and quiet snuggles.
She is the perfect “velcro” kitten—she just wants to stay close and keep your lap warm while you relax.

Rune

Rune is the sweetest little gentleman. He is a gentle boy with the most tender-loving heart! Well socialised with cats of all ages, Rune will make a wonderful addition to any home! When he’s not chasing strings and balls, he is snuggled up as close to you as he can get

Cayenne

Found dumped in a box outside Shoprite, these kittens were rescued by a kind local from De Gaaitjie and rushed to safety. Just 5 weeks old, they were filthy, flea-covered, and terrified—but look at them now. With full bellies and lots of love, they’ve blossomed into playful, affectionate little characters, ready for homes of their own.

Bodhi

Bodhi found himself all alone in a residential neighborhood of Parklands, which so happened to be right outside a dedicated KC foster mom’s home. She heard his quiet cries for help and after a few days of determination and some sheer luck, she finally caught Bodhi!

No one knows Bodhi’s true story, but no one claimed him either. Today Bodhi is learning how to trust, love and live the boujie Kitten Clinic life – which so far, he is LOVING

Meadow

Meadow was found wandering the streets after the Cape Storm in May. She is a gentle purr machine looking for a loving lap to call home forever!

Kitten Adoption FAQs

How do I adopt a kitten?

To adopt a kitten, simply complete our online adoption application. Once reviewed, we’ll be in touch to discuss the best match for your home and guide you through the next steps.

We are based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our kittens are raised in foster homes, so meet-and-greets are arranged by appointment.

Our adoption fee is R1200.

  • First two vaccinations
  • Sterilisation
  • Flea & tick treatment to date of adoption
  • FIV & FeLV test
  • Microchip

We prioritise homes in Cape Town and surrounding areas, but out-of-area adoptions may be considered depending on the situation and transport arrangements.

Yes, we always do virtual home checks and if need be, in-person, to ensure a safe and suitable environment for the kitten.

Where possible, we encourage adopting kittens in pairs or into a home with another young, playful pet. This helps with social development and prevents loneliness.

You’ll need the basics ready:

  • Food and water bowls (our kittens are fed Hills kitten food)
  • A litter box and litter
  • A sleeping spot (bed and blanket)
  • A safe indoor space
  • Toys and scratching posts
We’ll guide you on everything you need before adoption.

Once your application and home check are approved (usually within 1–2 days), the adoption fee must be paid and proof of payment sent. Your kitten(s) will then be ready for collection from their foster home.

We’re always here to help. Whether you need advice on behaviour, introductions, or health, we are happy to provide ongoing support to adopters.
