Foster Kittens in Cape Town

Help save vulnerable kittens

Fostering kittens is one of the most powerful ways to help save vulnerable lives in Cape Town. Kitten Clinic relies on foster homes to care for orphaned, neonatal, and medically fragile kittens who are too young or too vulnerable to stay in a shelter environment.

By opening your home, you provide a safe, loving space where kittens can grow, heal, and learn how to trust humans — all while preparing for adoption into their forever homes.

Why Foster for Kitten Clinic?

Fostering directly saves lives. Many of the kittens we rescue require round-the-clock bottle feeding, warmth, and specialised care that can only be provided in a home environment.

As a foster, you become part of a support system that includes guidance, supplies (where possible), and ongoing advice from our team.

What Fostering Involves

Foster carers provide:

  • A safe indoor home environment
  • A car/transport (kitten vet visits)
  • Love, warmth, and socialisation
  • Basic care such as feeding and litter training
  • Regular updates on the kitten’s progress

We welcome foster homes in Cape Town and surrounding areas who:

  • Have a safe, kitten-friendly home
  • Are able to provide daily care
  • Can commit to fostering until adoption (short or longer term depending on need)

Whether you’ve fostered before or this is your first time, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Fostering Saves Lives

Without foster homes, many rescued kittens would not survive. Every foster placement frees up space for another kitten in need and gives vulnerable animals the chance to grow strong enough for adoption.
